Shipping lock

Teaching and laboratory operating model of a shipping lock on a scale of /100.

The model is installed at the laboratory of the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU).

The shipping lock has an impressive size of 4500 x 850 mm.

The pools hold about 100 litres of water.

The flow of water is organized from a special storage tank using a pump.

Control of the gateway is electronic from the operator’s console.

The operator can fill pools, control the water level, open/close galleries for pumping water and operate the lock gates.

Maintenance gates are opened and closed manually.

All mechanisms are hidden under buildings and structures on the model with the ability to access them.

Such models are perfect for training in specialized institutions.
