In a modern world high quality of producing is impossible without modern equipment and model making industry is not an exception. That’s why we use only present-day technologies and equipment in production. Here we describe the main processes and technologies of production. The whole process of production can be divided into 5 steps:
- Engineering (3D visualization, design)
- Printing, 3D – milling
- Preparing details, replication
- Assembly and packaging
First of all, a future model is born in virtual space in 3D or in a full render.
We often create the design of the model ourselves and help a customer to decide what will be suitable for the project.
After that when the design-project is approved by a customer, project-developers start projecting details, joints and other elements of future model.
The next step of a model production is a real production of the parts of accessories, details and other elements for the next installation.
3D printing is widely used for our models at the enterprise. We use three 3D printers (Formlabs Form 2, Ultimaker 2+, Projet 1500), printing in different technologies and materials. It gives us high results in detailing of projects and helps to reduce terms of production significantly without damaging of models quality.
Some details go to the 2D cutting by CNC milling machine. Walls, dust caps from plexiglass, bases, nameplates and huge details are made here with the help of 3D milling.
One of the most important and responsible steps of production is manual preparation, grinding and adjustment details of the model. At this step our specialists help new details after 3D printing or milling to achieve its perfection. They realize SKD and prepare details for coloring. Some details and parts of model are made manually, for example: miniature trees. For the great amount of the same details we use the technology of replication, pouring liquid plastic in silicone forms.
Coloring takes place at the special camera by qualitative car enamels in several layers. Before painting, parts of details are usually primed to avoid surface defects, to have a better adhesion. Аll colors are tinted according to the color catalog RAL. After coloring the surface of details is varnished.
Final assembly of the model is the most important stage of production.
Painted parts are assembled into a single unit. Backlight, dynamic elements, labels, titles are mounted. At the end the model is set on a special base and covered by dust cap.
The final product is packaged in a shipping container that can be either a cardboard box or an euro corrugation. Individual packaging is very important for the safety of the model.
We are ready to deliver the product anywhere - all over the world upon the request of the customer.
